Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin will address the nation this evening ahead of the 13th National Parliament elections. It will be broadcast simultaneously on all private television channels and radios of the country, including Bangladesh Television (BTV), Bangladesh Betar, on Wednesday (February 11) evening.

EC sources said that the Chief Election Commissioner's speech was recorded on Tuesday evening. It is believed that in the speech, the CEC will inform the countrymen about the overall preparations for the elections and urge voters to go to the polling stations without fear and exercise their right to vote.

Apart from this, he will also speak about the distribution of election materials across the country, the overall security arrangements at 42,659 polling stations. He will highlight the deployment of 958,000 members of the law enforcement agencies, installation of CCTV cameras at polling stations and ensuring a fair environment through drone surveillance.

At the same time, he will reiterate the Commission's strong commitment to organizing free, fair and participatory elections.

It is worth noting that the CEC announced the schedule for the national elections in his address to the nation on December 11 last year.
