Symbol Allocation Today, Election Campaigning Starts Tomorrow

The Election Commission (EC) is set to allocate electoral symbols to candidates today, Wednesday (January 21), for the upcoming 13th National Parliament election. This follows the expiration of the deadline for withdrawing candidatures.

Candidates will officially begin their election campaigns tomorrow, Thursday (January 22). Polling Date , February 12, 2026. Voting Hours, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM (without break).

Voters will cast two ballots—one for the parliamentary election and another for a national referendum on the "July National Charter." Approximately 127.7 million registered voters. More than 2,000 valid candidates are in the fray.

The EC has confirmed that voting will be conducted using traditional transparent ballot papers. According to official guidelines, the final list of candidates will be organized and published in Bengali alphabetical order.
