US President Donald Trump ruled out using nuclear weapons or deploying ground troops against Iran also emphasizing that Washington does not need to resort to nuclear force.
Addressing reports during an interview with Newsmax regarding potential military action, Trump clarified that the weapon under consideration the commonly known as the "mother of all bombs" is purely conventional.
"The mother of all bombs is not nuclear " Trump said. "This is just an extremely large bomb." He repeated that the US has sufficient non-nuclear military capabilities and would not use nuclear options.
During the same interview when asked if he trusts Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump expressed broad skepticism toward political figures. "I don't trust anybody, honestly" he stated. "In the world of politics, I don't trust anybody."
The statements come amid heightened regional tensions and ongoing debates surrounding potential US strategic operations targeting Iranian infrastructure.
