Banalata Express Hits OTT on May 24

The highly discussed Eid-ul-Fitr release, Banalata Express, is coming to the video streaming platform Hoichoi on May 24. Hoichoi, which co-produced the film, will stream it globally.

According to production sources, the movie was scheduled for an OTT release two months after its theatrical debut. While it transitions to streaming for home viewers, it will continue its run in theaters.

Directed by Tanim Noor and based on Humayun Ahmed’s novel Akhbar, the film has been a major box office success. Since its Eid release, it has grossed over 14 crore taka in Bangladesh and crossed the 20 crore taka mark globally. Even in its recent weeks, the film drew strong crowds, earning 24 lakh taka from local multiplexes last Friday alone.

The star-studded cast includes Mosharraf Karim, Chanchal Chowdhury, Shariful Raj, Sabila Noor, Shyamal Mawla, Zakia Bari Mamo, Azmeri Haque Badhon, Shamima Nazneen, Intekhab Dinar, and Arefin Jilani.
