Actresses Ashna Habib Bhabna and Prarthana Fardin Dighi are set to star alongside Irfan Sajjad in an upcoming web film directed by Sumon Dhar. The dark thriller, currently filming in locations like Savar’s Golapgram, is being produced for a scheduled release during the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

While the film's title remains unannounced, the cast and crew have been working since late December. Director Sumon Dhar noted that the actors were chosen specifically to fit the narrative's complex requirements.

Lead actor Irfan Sajjad, who has a long-standing interest in the thriller genre, expressed excitement about his "layered" character. "I never turn down a role in a dark thriller," Sajjad said. He praised Bhabna’s dedication and noted that this project marks his first time working with Dighi.

Dighi, who has collaborated with Dhar on previous projects like Shesh Chithi and Fera, said the director’s unique storytelling drew her to the role. Despite a previous resolution to avoid "two-heroine" projects, Dighi said she joined immediately upon learning Bhabna was the co-lead. "Bhabna is someone I admire. She has been incredibly supportive on set," Dighi added.

Busy SchedulesBoth lead actresses have multiple projects in the pipeline. Bhabna recently finished filming Payel and is awaiting the release of Japito Jibon. Regarding the new web film, she teased a transformation: "This is a character I haven't played before. The story is excellent, and more details will be revealed through the posters."

Dighi is also wrapping up work on the film Biday while simultaneously filming this new project.
