Walton Launches Production of World-Renowned European ACC Compressors in Bangladesh

Walton Hi-Tech Industries has officially launched the production of the European ACC brand’s "Kappa" series compressors at its headquarters in Chandra. This move marks a significant expansion of Bangladesh’s high-tech manufacturing capabilities, integrating a 50-year-old Italian legacy with modern domestic production.

The Kappa series is noted for its compact, eco-friendly design and high energy efficiency. During the inauguration on Saturday, January 31, 2026, Managing Director S. M. Mahbubul Alam described the launch as a milestone for the nation’s engineering sector.

"The production of Kappa compressors proves that Bangladesh can lead in world-class industrial innovation," Alam said. "Our goal is to position Walton as a top global exporter by meeting both local demand and the rigorous standards of international markets."

The Kappa compressor features a Coefficient of Performance (COP) exceeding 2.15, allowing refrigerators to easily meet 5-star energy efficiency ratings. Key features including Wide Voltage Range, Operates between 85V and 300V, eliminating the need for external voltage stabilizers in areas with unstable power grids.

Space-Saving Design, Its compact size increases internal refrigerator storage without sacrificing cooling power.

Global Reach, Following Walton’s 2022 acquisition of ACC’s technology and intellectual property, the company now exports to Europe, the Middle East, and South Asia.

Walton’s investment has placed Bangladesh as the 15th largest compressor producer globally. The company currently enforces a "zero tolerance" quality control policy as it aims to expand its export footprint to over 100 countries.
