4th Death Anniversary of Chhatra Dal's Noor-e-Alam Observed in Bhola

The fourth death anniversary of former Bhola District Chhatra Dal President Md. Noor-e-Alam who was killed during a 2022 clash with police was observed on Monday with solemn tributes.

To mark the occasion, the local Chhatra Dal organized a grave-visiting ceremony and offered special prayers at the Baitul Aziz Jame Mosque adjacent to the Bhola Passport Office where Noor-e-Alam is buried. Leaders and activists across the district wore black badges in his memory.

The commemorative events drew a large gathering of local political figures. Key attendees included Bhola District BNP Member Secretary Raisul Alam, Joint Convener Harun Or Rashid Truman District Chhatra Dal President Abdullah Al Rasel and General Secretary Nur Mohammad Rubel alongside other leaders from the BNP Jubo Dal, and Swechchhasebak Dal.

On August 3, 2022 Noor-e-Alam sustained fatal gunshot wounds during a violent confrontation with police. The clash occurred while local BNP members were holding a centrally declared protest against the escalating prices of fuel electricity and essential commodities. He succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment. Since his passing local BNP factions and affiliated organizations have held annual memorial programs every August to honor his memory.
