4 Terror Suspects Arrested in Chittagong Raid

Police in Chittagong arrested four known criminals—including a close aide to the notorious terrorist Raihan—recovering a foreign firearm and live ammunition during a targeted raid.

The operation driven by intelligence gathering, led to the capture of high-profile suspects linked to severe regional crimes. The arrestees include Didar and Afsar, both wanted for the murder of Jubo Dal leader Masud in the Pahartali area. Also detained were Borhan a listed terrorist wanted by the Zorarganj Police Station, and a second suspect also named Didar, the prime accused in the murder of Azam under the Hathazari Police Station's jurisdiction.

Md. Russell, Additional Superintendent of Police (Traffic) for Chittagong District, confirmed the arrests. He stated the raid was a special operation executed based on secret information. Preliminary police records indicate all four individuals face multiple charges including murder and armed terrorism.

This crackdown marks a significant step in curbing gang violence and illegal arms circulation in Chittagong ensuring better security for local residents. Law enforcement is continuing to investigate the suspects' broader criminal network.
