


The Bangladesh Coast Guard has arrested a suspected robber and recovered a stash of country-made weapons, ammunition, and rocket flares from Bhola's Tajumuddin upazila.
The arrest took place during a special overnight raid conducted between late Wednesday and early Thursday, law enforcement officials confirmed.
The arrested suspect has been identified as Ferdous, locally known as "Heju Dakat" (Heju the Robber), a designated criminal active in the coastal belt.
According to Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Sabbir Alam Sujan, a specialized team from the Tajumuddin Coast Guard Outpost launched the operation near the Muktijoddha Bazar area based on actionable intelligence.
During the raid, security forces cordoned off and searched the suspect's residence. The search yielded and recovered 1 locally manufactured pipe gun, 2 rounds of live cartridges and 2 maritime rocket flares.
The Coast Guard confirmed that the suspect is currently in custody, and formal legal proceedings to transfer him to the local police station are underway.
