Formation of Mymensingh Society Committee in UK

The newly formed committee of "Mymensingh Society United Kingdom" has officially started its journey with the spirit of brotherhood, love, culture and mutual cooperation among the expatriates of Mymensingh division staying in UK.

October 22, was the first general meeting of the society, a partial executive committee of 37 members was formed unanimously for the next two years. The newly formed committee is headed by President Ferdous Ahmed, General Secretary Haroon Or Rashid, Senior Vice President Mojibur Rahman Swapan, Senior Joint General Secretary Ariful Islam Ujjal, Organizing Secretary Sheikh Sohail Mia.

Other committee members are Vice President Mohammad Manik, Saiful Khan, Azahar Talukder Shoaib, Mozammel Haque Khan Ujjal, Majedul Haque Manik and Md.Khasruzzaman Khasru. Joint General Secretary Said Khan, Md.Matiur Rahman, Zahidul Islam and Md.Jewel Mia. Deputy general secretary. Saiduzzaman Said and Nahid Hasan Siddique. Co-Organizing Secretary Rabiul Islam Russell, Mahmud Hasan Rakib, Faiz Ahmed Faisal and Razmik Khan Rahi.Treasurer Samidul Islam, Office Secretary Rana Talukder, Publicity Secretary Tanbir Ahmed, Women Affairs Editor Tahmina Hossain Iti, Student Affairs Secretary Sharif Uzzaman Rafsan, Sports Secretary Musfiqur Rahman Supta, Religious Affairs Secretary Omar Farooq Khan Raihan, Cultural Secretary Fahim Ahmed Bhuiyan, Employment Secretary Md. Atiqur Rahman, Relief and Rehabilitation Secretary Junaid Hasan.

The members of the committee Mostafizur Rahman Ferdous, Asad Sarkar Kajal, Hadi ul Islam Soeb, Sharifuzzaman Sharif, Delwar Hossain and Noor Hasim.

The leaders present at the meeting expressed their commitment to make Mymensingh a symbol of unity and a focal point of social cooperation.

Haroon Or Rashid, General Secretary of Mymensingh Society United Kingdom branch, said over the phone from abroad, I am a descendant of Ishwarganj sub-district of Mymensingh district and have been living in the United Kingdom for almost 20 years. Our committee goal is to create a bond of friendship with all the people living in the diaspora of Mymensingh Division, and to serve people as human being.
