The people of Pabna welcomed the Bengali New Year 1433 with vibrant processions and a star-studded concert on Tuesday. The day’s festivities were highlighted by the "Ruchi Baishakhi Festival" organized by Square Food and Beverage in collaboration with the district administration.

The celebrations began in the morning with a colorful "Mangal Shobhajatra" from Independence Square. The procession paraded through the city’s main streets before ending at the Pabna Government Edward College ground where a grand concert took place.

Legendary rock star Nagarbaul James, along with popular singers Imran Mahmudul and Oishee headlined the event, drawing a massive crowd. They were joined by the top three artists from "Magic Bauliana-2025." Additionally Mandira Chakraborty and the Sohag Dance Group entertained the audience with traditional performances.

Anjan Chowdhury Pintu Director of Square Group and Managing Director of Maasranga Television, delivered the welcome address. Several high-profile guests including local MPs Advocate Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas and Advocate AKM Selim Reza Habib, Deputy Commissioner Aminul Islam and Superintendent of Police Anewar Zahid were present to exchange New Year greetings.

Various educational institutions the Pabna Press Club and local voluntary organizations also organized separate programs across the district to mark the start of the Bangla year.
