A preparatory meeting was held in Paikgachha, Khulna, to organize the celebration of Bengali New Year 1433. The Upazila administration hosted the session on Thursday, April 9, at the Upazila Parishad auditorium.

The meeting, chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Wasiuzzaman Chowdhury, focused on ensuring a grand and inclusive celebration. Attendees included key government officials, political leaders, and members of the press.

Among those present were Senior Fisheries Officer Saikat Mallick, Agriculture Officer Ekramul Hossain, Animal Resources Officer Dr. Partha Pratim Roy, and Upazila BNP Convener Dr. Md. Abdul Majid. Other participants included Upazila Engineer Shafin Shoaib, Education Officer Sanjay Debnath, Paikgachha Press Club Vice President Md. Abdul Aziz, and former General Secretary SM Alauddin Sohag.

The administration finalized plans to host several cultural events across the upazila to mark the first day of the Bengali calendar in a festive atmosphere.
