Acting on a tip-off, the raid took place around 5:30 PM at the Jamuna Mini Oil Pump in the Purba Baghil area of Pakshi Union. The operation was led by Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Asaduzzaman Sarkar.
The recovered fuel consisted of 4,500 liters each of octane, petrol, and diesel. Officials noted that the pump had remained closed for an extended period while the fuel was stockpiled.
Following the raid, the pump authorities admitted to the offense. Under the Consumer Rights Protection Act, 2009, a fine of Tk 10,000 was imposed. The mobile court also ordered the immediate reopening of the pump to sell the recovered fuel at government-fixed rates to the public.
