Independence Day Observed with Solemnity in Bheramara

Bheramara Upazila celebrated Independence and National Day on March 26 with various programs honoring the nation’s heroes. The day’s events commenced at dawn with a 31-gun salute.

Floral wreaths were placed at the Central Liberation War Memorial by the upazila administration, police, and the Muktijoddha Command. Representatives from Bheramara Government College, the Bheramara Press Club, and various political, social, and cultural organizations also paid their respects.

Key attendees included Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Rafiqul Islam, Bheramara Government College Principal Professor Md. Abdus Sattar, and Jahangir Hossain Jewel, Head of the College Sports Department and former Press Club President.

The celebration continued at the Bheramara Government College grounds, where the national flag was formally hoisted, followed by a parade and physical displays by local students and organizations.
