State Minister for Shipping, Md. Rajib Ahsan, emphasized that the government's primary goal is ensuring a safe and orderly return for citizens traveling back to Dhaka after the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.

"Our objective is to ensure people can return to their workplaces safely. We want every passenger’s journey to be secure," the Minister stated while speaking to journalists at the Ilisha Launch Ghat in Bhola Sadar on Tuesday evening.

During his visit at 6:00 PM, the Minister inspected Dhaka-bound launches and spoke with passengers to assess the ground reality of the post-Eid rush. Addressing the infrastructure needs of the region, he noted that Ilisha Ghat is one of the busiest river ports in Bangladesh.

"Modernizing this ghat is a priority. We will begin the development work immediately after the Eid travel period concludes," he added.

Earlier in the day, the State Minister conducted a comprehensive inspection of various key launch terminals across Bhola via speedboat. He was accompanied by senior officials from the Bhola district administration, Bangladesh Police, and the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA).
