On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, 3,575 families in Hemayetpur Union of Pabna Sadar Upazila received food assistance under the Vulnerable Group Feeding (VGF) program for the 2025-26 fiscal year. Each selected household received 10 kg of rice to help celebrate the upcoming festival.

The distribution took place on Sunday afternoon at the Hemayetpur Union Parishad premises. Present at the event were Union Parishad Chairman Jahangir Alam Khan, Upazila Administration Representative and Deputy Assistant Jute Officer Masud Rana, Administrative Officer Md. Saiduzzaman, and UP Member Rafiqul Islam Babu.

Chairman Jahangir Alam Khan noted that the distribution was organized systematically to ensure all 3,575 cardholders received their allocation without hassle. "Like every year, we are providing this essential support to the most vulnerable members of our community to ensure everyone can join in the Eid festivities," he stated.

Upazila representative Masud Rana confirmed that the administration verified the stock before the process began, ensuring that the full quota of rice reached the intended beneficiaries.
