


Thunderstorms are likely in seven divisions of the country, including the capital, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
An extended part of a low-pressure system lies over West Bengal and adjoining areas. The seasonal low pressure is also active over the south Bay of Bengal, with its extension reaching the northeast Bay.
The forecast until Tuesday (March 3) evening says rain or thundershowers may occur in parts of Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions. Other areas may see partly cloudy skies and mainly dry weather.
For the following 24 hours, the weather across the country is expected to remain mostly dry with temporary partly cloudy skies. No significant rainfall is forecast in the next few days.
Day temperatures may rise slightly, while night temperatures are likely to remain nearly unchanged.
