


Several shops, including educational institutions, were robbed in Chauddagram, Comilla overnight. These thefts occurred within 100 to 300 yards of the police station on Tuesday night. There is anger and panic as thefts have increased in various areas due to yaba users and traders.
It is learned that on Tuesday night, like every day, the owners closed Malek Motors and Mahmud Said stores opposite Islami Bank in Chauddagram Bazar and went home. At some point in the night, an organized gang of thieves took away 7 fans of Chauddagram Ideal School located in Laksam Road area, 17 thousand taka cash of Malek Motors and about 50 thousand taka important goods from the southern micro stand of Chauddagram Bazar, 35,800 taka goods including biscuits and cigarettes from Mahmud Said store. In addition, thefts occurred in several other shops.
Abdullah Al Mamun Mishu, director of Chouddagram Ideal School, said that thefts have increased in the area due to yaba traders. Last night, a gang of thieves stole 7 fans from the school. We are seeking the administration's cooperation in suppressing the gang of thieves. Abdul Quddus, owner of Malek Motors, said, "The organized gang of thieves took away goods worth about 50,000 taka by cutting the tin behind the shop."
Abu Mohammad Kawsar Hossain, officer-in-charge of Chouddagram Model Police Station, said on Wednesday afternoon, "I have heard about the theft. Necessary action will be taken after investigation."
