TCB's mobile truck sale program with dates and chickpeas starts in Gazipur

On the occasion of the holy Ramadan, the Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) mobile truck sale program has started. Like the whole of Bangladesh, this program has been inaugurated in Gazipur under the overall supervision of the district administration. On Tuesday morning at 10 am, Gazipur Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Shahriar Nazir inaugurated TCB's mobile truck sale program at the traditional Rajbari ground.

Assistant Director of Gazipur TCB Camp Rashedul Islam said that this special program has been taken up to help low-income people under the government's instructions. This sale program will continue for a total of 20 days (excluding Fridays and public holidays) from February 17 to March 12 through designated dealers.

These products will be sold through mobile trucks at a total of 15 locations in 57 wards of Gazipur city. Every day, 400 general consumers will get the opportunity to purchase edible oil, sugar, lentils, chickpeas and dates from each truck.

A consumer can buy a maximum of 2 liters of edible oil (115 taka per liter), 1 kg of sugar (80 taka per kg), 2 kg of lentils (70 taka per kg), 1 kg of chickpeas (60 taka per kg) and half a kg of dates (160 taka per kg) from the truck. Any general consumer can avail this facility from the designated truck sale point.
