71 platoons of BGB deployed in Chattogram for election security

A platoon of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members has been deployed in Chattogram district to maintain law and order in the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections. The BGB's deployment activities began in various important areas of the district from Friday (January 30). The BGB gave this information in a press release on Friday night.

BGB Regional Headquarters Chattogram Director (Operations) Lieutenant Colonel Md. Mahamudul Hasan confirmed the matter to the media, saying that the deployment has been made to prevent any untoward incident during the election period and to ensure the safety of public life and property. He said that BGB members are conducting regular patrols in coordination with the local administration.

He also said that all necessary security measures are being taken to keep the overall law and order situation under control and to conduct the elections in a fair, peaceful and impartial manner.
