Rescheduling of BSBOA Executive Committee Elections

In the wake of the Bangladesh government's declaration of national mourning on Saturday (December 20) for the death of Inqilab Manch spokesperson Sharif Shaheed Osman Hadi, the elections of the executive committee of the Bangladesh Ship Handling and Berth Operators Association (BSBOA) for the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 terms will be held as per the rescheduling.

A notification signed by BSBOA Election Board Chairman Commodore (Retd) Syed Ariful Islam said that the elections for the posts of Chairman, 1st Vice Chairman, 2nd Vice Chairman and Director will be held from 10 am to 2 pm on Sunday (December 21) without interruption. The counting of votes and the announcement of the results by the Election Board will be made immediately after the end of the voting.

The last date and time for filing appeals (if any) to the Election Appeal Board regarding the conduct of the election is Monday (December 22) until 4 pm.

The Election Appeal Board will settle the appeal and notify the Election Board of its decision by 2 pm on Wednesday (December 24). The Election Board will publish the final election results on Wednesday at 4 pm. The last date and time for filing an appeal against the final election results (if any) with a fee of 10 thousand taka to the Election Appeal Board is Saturday (December 27) until 2 pm. The Election Appeal Board will settle the appeal and notify the Election Board of its decision by 12 noon on Tuesday (December 30).

If necessary, the Election Board will correct and republish the final results at 1 pm on Tuesday (December 30).
