RAB-7 has conducted a mobile court against an organization in the Kadamtali area of ​​Sadarghat police station in Chattogram city on charges of manufacturing unauthorized and risky electrical equipment. The organization has been fined 12 lakh taka and a large amount of electrical equipment has been seized in the operation.

A mobile court was conducted at an organization named 'OnePlus' in the Kadamtali area on Monday (December 15) from 11 am to 2 pm. After the operation, RAB-7 Chattogram commander Lieutenant Colonel Hafizur Rahman said that the operation conducted based on secret information showed that the organization was producing and marketing risky electrical equipment without the approval of the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI).

The operation, led by RAB Headquarters Executive Magistrate Md. Abu Hasan and in the presence of BSTI Field Officer Engineer Md. Hafizur Rahman, a large amount of unauthorized electrical equipment was seized from the factory. After the mobile court, the executive magistrate fined the company Tk 12 lakh. Legal action is under process regarding the seized equipment.

RAB-7 Chattogram Assistant Director A. R. M. Mozaffar Hossain said that the drive against such illegal and risky activities will continue to ensure public interest and consumer safety.
