


The Lohagara Police Station has recovered the body of a teenager named Md. Tajim Molya (14) from a pond in Lohagara Upazila of Narail.
The police recovered the body from Char-Ariara village of Joypur Union of the upazila around 11:30 am on Sunday (December 7). Sub-Inspector (SI) of Lohagara Police Station Tarak Biswas confirmed the recovery of the body.
Md. Tajim Molya is the son of Saudi expatriate Md. Shahidul Molya of Char-Ariara village of Lohagara Upazila.
According to police and local sources, Tajim and his friends were playing carromboard at a local shop on Saturday night. Later, he did not return home. When he did not return home at night, his family members searched at various places but could not find him.
On Sunday morning, locals found a body on the bank of a pond next to the house of Habi Mridha, adjacent to Tajim's house. Hearing the news of the body being found, Tajim's family went to the spot and identified Tajim's body.
Meanwhile, locals informed the police after seeing the body, and the police recovered the body around 11:30 am. Later, the police took Tajim's three friends into police custody for questioning. Initially, they said that Tajim went to steal a dub with his friends at night. During this, Tajim fell from a tree and died.
Lohagara Police Station SI Tarok Biswas said that the body has been sent to Narail District Hospital for autopsy. The real cause of death will be known after receiving the report. In addition, Tajim's three friends have been taken into police custody for questioning.
