Shuvo Jomaddar, the primary suspect in the Indurkani Rape case, Arrested in a RAB operation

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Shuvo Jomaddar (32) in a targeted operation, as he is the main suspect in the rape case reported at the Indurkani Police Station in Pirojpur. On Thursday, December 4, at approximately 10 pm, a combined team from RAB-8 CPSC Barisal and RAB-11 CPSC Narayanganj captured him in the Masudpur Pakarmatha area of Siddhirganj Police Station in Narayanganj.

According to RAB, ongoing operations are being carried out against various criminal organizations to ensure safety and uphold law and order across the nation. This operation is part of those efforts.

In a press release, RAB elaborated that on October 27, 2025, around 8:15 pm, Shuvo Jomaddar unlawfully entered a residence in Charakhali village, located in Indurkani Union No. 4 of Indurkani Upazila, and forcibly raped a 24-year-old housewife. When local residents responded to the victim's and her child's cries for help, the suspect fled the scene. Subsequently, the victim lodged a complaint at the Indurkani Police Station (Case No. 5, Date: 27/10/2025).

Following his arrest, RAB reported that Shuvo Jomaddar was transferred to Siddhirganj Police Station.
