Bashkhali Upazila Forms 9-Member Anti-Corruption Committee

The Bashkhali Upazila in Chattogram has officially approved a 9-member Corruption Prevention Committee (CPC) aimed at fostering public awareness, honesty, and integrity to combat corruption over the next three years.

The committee was sanctioned by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Director Rizia Khatun on Wednesday (December 3).

President: Mohammad Sahab Uddin Chowdhury and General Secretary: Nasimul Ahsan Chowdhury Jewel.

The newly appointed President, Mohammad Sahab Uddin Chowdhury, affirmed the committee's objective: "We will work towards making people from different levels of our society aware of the negative aspects and dangers of corruption... so that the people of the country are discouraged from committing corruption."

The formation of the CPC falls under Section 17(g) of the ACC Act, 2004, and follows a proposal from the ACC Integrated District Office, Chattogram-2.
