National Livestock Week and Exhibition Inauguration in Bashkhali

With the theme of ''Local breeds, modern technology, improvement in livestock'', the National Livestock Week and Livestock Exhibition Fair were held in Bashkhali Upazila.

On Wednesday (November 26) afternoon, the Upazila Livestock Office and Veterinary Hospital initiated the National Livestock Week inauguration ceremony and discussion meeting at the Upazila Livestock Office premises.

The program was moderated by Upazila Livestock Extension Officer Dr. Shahazada Zulkarnine Shaon, presided over by Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Supan Nandi, Upazila Executive Officer Mohammad Jamshedul Alam was the chief guest, Upazila Social Service Officer Md. Amjad Hossain, Upazila Rural Development Officer Enamul Karim, Upazila Accounting Officer Ariful Islam Chowdhury, Upazila Rural Development Bank Officer Md. Jasim Uddin, Banshkhali Police Inspector (Investigation) Shudhangshu Shekhar Howlader, Bashkhali Government Girls' High School Principal Monotosh Das, Upazila Dairy Association General Secretary Mohammad Hossain and others.'

At this time, farmers from different areas of Bashkhali Upazila participated in the exhibition with various species of animals and birds including cows, goats, ducks, chickens, pigeons and others in 40 stalls. At the end of the program, the invited guests including the chief guest visited all the stalls of the exhibition. Later, the exhibition fair was declared closed by distributing prizes in different categories to the farmers participating in the fair.
