


The incident took place around 5 PM on Monday in the 24-mile stretch of the Pabna-Dhaka highway. The victims were Jabdul Sheikh, aged 35, who was riding the motorcycle, and his 8-year-old daughter, Jubaya Khatun.
According to Officer-in-Charge Mostafizur Rahman of Madhpur Police Station, a truck loaded with jute, traveling from Pabna to Kashinathpur, collided with the motorcycle that was moving in the same direction. The motorcycle was subsequently crushed beneath the truck's wheels, resulting in the immediate deaths of Jabdul Sheikh and his young daughter.
Jabdul's son, Momin Sheikh, aged 5, and his nephew, Siam Sheikh, aged 6, who were also on the motorcycle, sustained serious injuries and were taken to Pabna General Hospital for treatment.
Police have reported that the truck involved in the accident has been confiscated, but the driver fled the scene right after the crash. Authorities are currently working to apprehend him.
