Abul Khair Bhuiyan, the BNP candidate for the Lakshmipur-2 parliamentary seat, stated that a party is visiting homes under the guise of an election campaign. This is misleading the public and misrepresenting Islam. They are soliciting votes in the name of religion. However, the women in the village are very knowledgeable and astute. They have come together to counter the falsehoods through their votes. The participation of women in our election events has significantly increased compared to previous elections.
Abul Khair Bhuiyan made these remarks to reporters during the election campaign in Tumchar Union on Thursday afternoon, November 29. During this time, he engaged with the public in various markets and key locations within that union to discuss strategies.
He further remarked that there has been no sustainable development in the Lakshmipur-2 constituency for the past 17 years. The Awami League has embezzled funds under the pretense of development projects. The development initiatives that took place during his tenure as an MP are now being replicated. Essentially, BNP stands for development, while the Awami League is a party of corruption and money laundering. BNP prioritizes the welfare of the nation's people and is committed to the country's development. If elected in the future, it will focus on enhancing all sectors, including roads, education, bridges, and agricultural development in Tumchar.
Among those present at the election campaign were Mahbubur Rahman Khokon, President of Laxmipur Sadar Upazila West BNP, Secretary Mohi Uddin Patwari Bitu, Organizing Secretary Saidur Rahman Bhutu, Jubo Dal leader Amir Ahmed Raju, and Union Jubo Dal President Muktar Hossain.
