A 25-year-old motorcycle rider was killed after a truck collided with his motorcycle at Dhaniyalapara Road Head on DT Road in Chattogram city’s Double Mooring area.
The deceased was identified as Masum, son of the late Ramzan Ali and a resident of Magbul Manzil in the Dhaniyalapara area.
Nurul Alam Ashek, in-charge of the police outpost at Chattogram Medical College Hospital and a sub-inspector, confirmed the incident.
He said the accident occurred at around 11:30pm on Wednesday (October 7) when the truck driver lost control and hit the motorcycle at Dhaniyalapara Road Head on DT Road.
Masum sustained critical injuries in the collision. He was taken to Chattogram Medical College Hospital, where the attending doctor declared him dead.
The body has been kept at the hospital morgue, police said.
