


Educational organization 'Boichinta' hosted a Seerah-based general knowledge competition and discussion meeting on the biography of the Prophet (PBUH) at South Sandwip Multipurpose High School on Monday.
Presided over by Boichinta Chief Coordinator Nazrul Naim, the event featured Md. Kefayet Ullah Khan, President of the school's ad-hoc committee as the chief guest. Local teachers, community leaders and students were also present.
Students from grades eight through ten participated in the contest. Educational materials were awarded to nine winners: Mofazzal Mawla, Siam Islam and Sayem from 10th grade Tasfia Sikdar, Mahin and Saimun Islam from 9th grade and Sajeda Jahan Shimu, Taspia Akter Mim and Shamsul Abrar from 8th grade.
Speakers highlighted the importance of teaching students about the Prophet’s (PBUH) life, moral ideals and humanitarian values. The chief guest praised Boichinta’s youth-focused initiatives and urged them to continue organizing similar educational programs. Nazrul Naim reaffirmed the organization's commitment to building a reading habit and raising social awareness.
Launched in June 2022, Boichinta has spearheaded several initiatives in Sandwip including establishing a hospital library, running mobile book fairs, conducting language awareness campaigns and hosting youth leadership training. In recognition of its community work, the organization earned the 'Oitijhyo Book Influencer Award 2024' and 'The Heaven Foundation Award 2025'.
