


Laxmipur Sadar Upazila held a preparatory meeting Wednesday afternoon to plan student participation in Natun Kuri Sports 2026-27 and organize the Prime Minister's Gold Cup National Football Competition 2026.
Upazila Executive Officer Kathwaipru Marma chaired the meeting, attended by heads of various high schools and madrasas across the upazila. Discussions covered ensuring student participation, player selection and preparations for holding both competitions in an orderly with festive manner.
Speakers stressed that sports play a vital role in students' physical and mental development also helping build discipline, leadership, teamwork and a competitive spirit. They called for strengthening sports activities at the school and madrasa level.
Marma urged institution heads to ensure active student participation in the competitions and asked all stakeholders to work together to make the Prime Minister's Gold Cup National Football Competition 2026 a success.
In response, the school and madrasa heads present pledged their full cooperation to support student participation and help ensure the successful organization of the events.
