


A farmer named Md. Monir Molla (52) was brutally murdered by assailants in Kaliganj Upazila, Gazipur.
The police discovered the body of the victim in the Parabarta area of the local Nagri Union on the evening of Saturday, November 6.
Monir Molla, the son of the late Hashem Molla from Parabarta, was engaged in farming.
As reported by police and local sources, residents noticed a body lying in an open area of the forest department in Parabarta on Saturday evening and alerted the authorities. Subsequently, officers from the Ulukhola police camp arrived at the scene and retrieved the body. Local residents were able to identify him. To date, no arrests have been made in connection with this incident, but police are actively working to identify the perpetrators.
According to law enforcement, both of the victim's legs were severed with a sharp instrument. Initial assessments suggest that he was killed first and then mutilated after being brought to the location. The assailants escaped the scene following the crime.
Kaliganj Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Ashraful Islam confirmed the details, stating, "The body has been recovered, and an investigation into the matter is currently ongoing."
